University of California Vendor Liability Program

Protects approved vendors working under contract for The University of California.

Coverage Description
Vendor Liability Insurance provides protection against claims of bodily injury and property damage liability for work performed on behalf of the University of California, and the litigation costs to defend against such claims. In addition miscellaneous errors and omissions coverage provides protection against professional errors that result in financial harm to a third party. For approved vendors, a $500 charge will provide coverage for a 12 month period for for all University of California projects.

$1,000,000 Per Occurrence
$2,000,000 General Aggregate
$2,000,000 Miscellaneous Professional Liability (Applies per vendor and is separate from the general aggregate and products completed operations limits)

Each approved vendor will be listed as an additional named insured on the master policy issued to the University of California, and will be provided a certificate of insurance.

Claim Submission
Contact Chartis @ 877-399-6442 to report a claim. Also claims can be reported via email to westernpcnewloss@chartisinsurance.com or faxed to 866-854-4926.

Optional Coverages
For vendors who do not qualify for coverage under the Chartis program, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Automobile, and Professional Liability coverage will be available for purchase via an online application through the CampusConnexions Program Affinity Vendor, Business Insurance Now (BIN). Contact 1-800-655-1714 or http://www.businessinsurancenow.com/uc/. All underwriting and subsequent servicing of policies placed with Business Insurance Now (BIN) will be serviced by BIN. Please contact BIN directly for any questions or concerns regarding policies you may place with BIN.

*Signing this Application shall not constitute a Binder or Obligate the Company to provide this insurance, but it is agreed this Application shall be the basis on which a policy may be issued. Coverage will become effective upon approval of this Application and receipt of your payment.
